Hiya I can understand your feelings on postage, however, they travel in far worse conditions when being imported. When I post fish I starve for 24 hours to reduce "poo" etc, and by using bag buddies, it helps neutralise any toxic waste as well as sedating the fish and oxygenating the water. Of course, no method is perfect, and I have lost a few fish over the last 18 months, but not as many as those that are lost from LFS's where they've been imported and not quarantined etc. So, what I'm trying to say is, yes, you are right, it's not perfect for the fish, but at least you'll get a diversity of bloodlines and if there are no local breeders, at least the fish you get posted tend to be UK bred so much more stronger.

| Hi angi I can see that you know what your about and agree with you hole hartitly, there are a lot of them in it just for the money, how would you post 300+ 1" baby Bristlenose ? from Blackpool to Telford which is a lot of babies and the postage would be enormas and i dont think the servival rate would be very good, this was a good add on the net but not for me to by, if it was in my district i would have had a go, im not disrespecting any one,as like ive said i find it intersting to find out what fish keepers think. | |

I honestly wouldn't even begin to think about posting 300 baby fish. Curby, I totally understand, it was a hard decision to make for us, but I really did research into how to get the best out of it, and actually am still learning after some failures with heatpacks, I read on another forum how to ensure that they do keep warm, and it did work
