| That's a lovely tank - love the layout. The bogwood makes a great focus and there's some nice crypts in there as well. Oh and the fish aren't half bad either The sign's a nice touch. What lighting are you running in that one ? | |

| Thanks for your comments .. Specs are 320L Twin 4 ft Fluro Lights, (one for plants one for fish) Otto Canister filter that pumps 1200 lph AquaOne Auqis 750, 150lph, air stone..runs constantly on full UV internal sterilizer 300 Watt heater, set on 27>28 Normal Aquarium gravel...The plants are fed with http://www.aquagreen.com.au/ 's Dino Pee, Spit & Dung range of ferts/products.. lol J Every one spawns here...must be the water...I have bred Blue, Gold, & Bollys & have someone on eggs often...I have a few bubs in the big tank now that I bred.. My survival stats are on par with natures, only a few ever survive(I've artificially raised many, and have a BlueRam male that is happy to adopt a rock of eggs when I steal them from a pair in the big tank)........Oh & Ive bred my apisto cacas & Angels also.. I find if they are well fed, live in a well planted tank, are comfortable & feel safe then they will live as nature intended them to . | |

Every one spawns here.. Oh yeah, you make it sound too easy Moo. Like you said though keep them well fed and in a good environment. So do the bolivian's like a similar environment to "spawning" Angels? if so great because my Angels spawned for the first time today, I just need some spare monies to up the numbers of rams - only have the 1 at the moment ,lost 4 a little while back. | lol J..It is relatively easy, I only have to watch the behaviors of the pairs to know when a spawn is imminent., Main thing is water quality, always has to be perfect...It's nearly at the stage where I don't need to do very much vacuuming these days, the plants are using it up well..I still vacuum the open areas tho.. The Bollys will spawn in the same water as the Angels... | |

| Hi Brengun Um yerr ...Actually, I'd love to, But who would feed my fish , Mick wouldn't know one fish from another, let along what they might eat lol, You have given me an idea tho, I wonder if there is a market for private/home aquascaping lol @Bwompus I only vacuum along the front & where the plants aren't..With a rather large vac, I am going to use a smaller one next wc, as the water level lowers too fast with the larger vaccy tube, I don't get to finish vacuuming before the water is down far enough... | |
