£30 is very exphensive for one L183....

the going rate is between £15 and £23........

Pier aquatics sell them for £18.50 at about 3 inch.......so 30 quid affraid to much for me....

The fish is worth what people are willing to pay for them. £30 isnt alot if its the fish you are looking to get hold of. You lot should try Hypancistrus if you think £30 is to costly Laughing

L183 are well worth the money and IF you can breed them then £30 is a few fry:lol:

Cheers

agree a fish is only worth what you are willing to pay
I recently purchase a male red turq discus for £125 (could have got a smaller one for £65) but I want a large one to go with my female for a breeding program.
Like curby says if you want it then you may have to pay for it
I tend to set myself a price and stick to it.
Took my 4 months to find some more sterbai as I refused to pay over the odds for them but 2 weeks ago managed to pick up a further 10 for a decent price.
Now have a nice mixed breeding group which have just started to lays eggs Very Happy

The cost is all relative,

You might have to pay £30, while someone in another part of the country is only paying £20, but if you have to travel there and back the petrol is likely to be more than the extra £10, and if you want them posted then that will also be more than £10... so you might as well pay the £30 at you LFS....... If you are a regular then the chances are that they will cut you a deal, especially if you are buying more than one....

cheers

Jon
