I have four of these I am growing up and hoping I have mixed sexes.
They are called butterfly pleco because when the male fans his eggs, apparently he looks like a flapping butterfly.
A more suitable name is the chameleon pleco as these guys can really change their colors from black and yellow to a completely faded out grey. Even day time colors differ from night time.
They can really flatten themselves out and like a good current
