| Righto, Who chooses what? I mean we all know that the best ovens in the world are wood fired pizza ovens but they don't really fit into the average appartment kitchen Oh, and convectional means fan forced | |

| I've used both gas and electric stoves. I prefer gas, as you have better control over the heat. The stove I have now is electric. I use cast iron pans and they keep they heat nice and even so it's all good. | |

| if you are asking about the oven only, well I use cast iron in there too, so I don't notice too much difference. | |

It is a must in a kitchen! Here are some links to help you prepare and properly care for an iron skillet. http://www.freequickrecipes.com/cooking-articles/how-to-care-for-your-cast-iron-skillet.php http://whatscookingamerica.net/Information/CastIronPans.htm http://www.olsouthrecipes.com/skillet.html Remember...some people say its ok to use soapy water to wash a seasoned iron skillet. I think they are wrong. If you feel that an iron skillet is for you then go out and buy one medium and one large. You won't regret it! | |
