hi all i got a breeding pair of brown bristlenose plecs, and just bought a second pair, can these 2 pairs live in the same tank or will they fight, as i got a 15 inch small tank that i could put them in until i set up another tank, lol

it depends on the size of the tank. As a rule i suggest that you have 1.5 square feet of tank per male and up to two females per male. So in a 3ft tank 2 trios would be ok as long as there is plenty of hiding places around.
and make sure there is at least 2 caves in there as the males will fight over the one cave. if you only have one then take it out and stock up on rocks and wood for them to hide in until you can get another cave.
If your tank is not that big then i would suggest putting the female in with the pair and putting the male in the smaller tank. this will reduce the stress on the smaller tank while ensuring that everyone remains happy and safe

thanks for the info doug, the small tank has a few baby apple snails and some baby platties, so plenty of room, my main tank is 32"x15"x12" plenty of bog wood cave and ship wreck,
