| you may need to post pictures it is hard to diagnose or help when we can not see the injury or discolouration...
when did the fish start with the white spot.... how many fish have it, have you introduced any thing new to the tank...
is the water clean, is it correctly cycled..... what are the water parameters.. etc....

| Can you seperate it to a bare tank/container and then get a picture?
Are any others showing signs of it being a virulent disease if not it may still be wise to seperate in case it does spread.
Without pictures no one can help you we would only be guessing.
Have a look at this site http://www.flippersandfins.net/flexibacter.htm it's a disease that possibly fits your description.

| Subject: well spotted jim Fri Aug 27, 2010 1:30 pm | |
| Jim-well spotted my thoughts entirely and the causes are typical of what we usuallly look out for any ways. though at this stage it is a guessing game with out more to go on.... it is worth pointing out that flippers and fins is a good web site too and can save you many hours of frustration in the fish keeping game... not to mention bristlenoseworld.com and also badmanstropical regards lj | |
