Hey guys and gals,
I switched the light on my main tank today and was just about to do a water change when
I noticed what appeared to be a small pleco / Ancistrus baby attached to the fry saver I put in the tank to hold a couple of gravid guppies...
Anyways after further checking I have some more baby pleco around the underneath of the pleco slate cave entrance...
So going to leave the water change till tomorrow.
I do have a spare fry saver I sometimes drop that in when doing water changes.. having a spare fry saver helps...
you can let it float in the tank and add water into the fry saver (empty of fish) direct from the bucket.
This is a good way of stopping the pressure of water injuring or moving any new babies or fry etc.
As helped me a time or two.....
Or you can suspend a 3inch net in the top and add the water from the bucket to the inside of the net....
Will try to post more pictures of the new Ancistrus temminckii as they get a little bigger...
regards
