Nov/Dec..POTM Contest.....

Here's the new comp for Pleco of The Month....And remember this one will run untill christmas....

So this is the x-mas comp....

Same rules apply as always 2 pics each....

Either 2 pics of your bristlenose or 1 bristlenose and 1 other species of plec...

Each entry must at least contain one bristly pic....

Only plecs in the comp please...........

thanks mate, this is my first photo entry so fingers crossed

this site should be award winning some of these photograghs are better than the ones you get in magazines and books.

all should be copyrighted to the owner and used in magazines... if only that dream were true.....

clearly www.bristlenoseworld.com is alot further infront for topic and photo's out there so is a resource second to non

must say I will be here to promote bristlenose and catfish in the aquarium as much as possible.

Oh LJ thats a lovely thing to say, On behalf of Bristlenose world, We thank you...

I do not doubt we all endeavour to protect and look after our fish as much as possible,
and as they say a photo can be worth a thousand words

may be we should have a catfish calendar with our best photo's off here...

and what better way than to have a calendar were the reverse of the photo enables you to cut the photo off and use it as a post card
thAT way you promote the site twice as much - just a thought...

I know I would order one.....

alternatively what about if and when people become VIP members they are issued with say 10-20 www.bristlenoseworld.com business
cards then when your out and about and you see some one interested in a Bristlenose catfish you pass them a card on

what a good way to promote the site and all things bristlenose...

needless to say this competition is stirring up some out standing photos and as such this month I will not enter
as I know that non of my current photo's will be as good as Moo's or Garners....

Garner you get a thank you point for me as that first photograph of yours is beautiful...
only fellow photographers and aqaurists will truely appreciate the time, thought and patience it takes
to ensure a rich photo like that...

Thank you for the kind words mate, it definitely takes alot of effort and patience to get a photo that is clear and has natural lighting like that photo, just to give you an idea that was the best out of about 30 pics i took . i wanted to capture the texture of the wood but also pick up the fine detail of the bristlenose armor.

I think calendars with 12 of the best photos would be a great idea, would be nice to have them A4 size or bigger

a calender is a great idea.....why didnt i think of that...

in fact i will get on with it right away....

How much would the going rate be for a decent calender???anybody??

curby not sure, i Bought one from the wholesalers at 69p lol... so that was mass produced... mmmm

I also bought one as a present which was personalised with photo's for the family for £5.99

you may wish to ask others or have a look around mate

I can get them made at $10 approx at the shopping centre.... lol.....

I am sure Curby could get them for that or less at the trafford centre or a local printers...

I'd buy a calender, it's a great idea

I wouldnt mind one myself, anywayz iam on with so enough talk in here about it s its for the comps....somebody start a new thread up with calender idea's prices etc.......

already have in the suggestion box...lol

calenders in my local post office are around 3-4 quid, but if its a nice size with quality pics i recon you could get 5quid, maybe say donate x amount to a charity i think alot will buy them, even with a small bit of postage

i done a calender for my 4x4 website i think i got 100 for £250 i think
