| Hi all.
It's great to find a forum for bristlenoses.
I'm pretty inexperienced, having only been keeping fish since maybe March this year. Started with a Betta for my son, which clearly couldn't live in a little jar, so we got a 50 L tank, heater, etc. We filled the extra room with some Sterbai's cories, a few guppies, and a 3cm bristlenose named Catto - soon everyone's favourite fish. He grew so fast we upgraded to a 90 L tank so he wouldn't keep tripping over the cories.
So far so good, then (circumstances beyond my control) the tank got too mulmy (is that a real word?) and fish started getting sick. At the moment the cories have eroded barbels, and, tragically, Catto is very ill. He seems to be paralysed, and has become very skinny. There are no signs of infection, but something is very wrong, and I'm off to the hospital forum here to ask for advice. Just stopped in to say Hi first.
That doesn't sound too happy, but I'm pleased to be here all the same. | |
