| Cheers for the mention guys I must admit I have never read a book on bristlenose, or any of the L numbers, well apart from mine I have done all my research through scientific journals, talking directly to researchers and of course, doing it myself. I have ordered kathy jenkins' book a while ago but it still has not arrived, prob should check that. | |

| After ages of "yea I wouldn't mind a copy..." I finally got my hands on Kathy Jinkings book Bristlenoses: Catfish with Character. And I must say it is a great read and well recommended for others like myself who enjoy sitting down with a cuppa and flicking through a fish book For those interested in purchasing a copy it's easily found on amazon uk. I live in Australia and I had no difficulty at all with shipping and delivery. | |

| Just checked my books, and there is not too many about BNs. However, here is my list and rankings: No. 1 K. Jinkings: Bristlenose - Catfish with character Only disturbing thing about Kathy's book, is that there are all too many pictures with notes "this is not XX ancistrus/pleco/etc" I want to know what is on the picture, and not what isn't. Bit annoying. Otherwise a very good book. I especially like the biology part. Unfortunately there is very little about behaviour. No. 2 Back to Nature: L-catfishes I find the symbols very helpful. I. e.: some species does not require strong currents - L-134 -, which is not mentioned in other books. No. 3 David Sands: An Interpet guide to African and Asian catfishes A very good book with all the basics. No. 4 AquaLog: All L-numbers Unfortunately there is no index, so if you wish to find a BN, you have to go through the whole book. Thanks Jim for mentioning the book by Dr Carl Ferraris, Jr.! Just placed my bid on eBay. Keep fingers crossed. :bounce: | |

Keep fingers crossed. :bounce: Good luck with the bidding The books 20 years old now, I got it when it was first published so obviously there is a lot of the L numbers not mentioned, but saying that there is plenty of information that will always be relevent, plus lots of amazing photos | |
