Hi all, just wondering what peoples views are on a good pleco ID book is for me to get. It would be handy to be able to just flick through a book to see an image and description of which plec people are talkin about on these forums without havin to google it to put an image to the number. So to speek. I know eventually it will be all on this site but because of the massive task it wont happen overnight. Cheers

First of all hi there good to see some one else from Perth WA I use two books that are great referances 1/ Back to nature Guide to L-Catfishes (Ingo Seidel) 2/ Aqualog Loricariidae alle L- welse all L- numbers (Erwin Schraml,Frank Schafer) The first book is available in most Lfs but the second one is a little harder to get (got mine from over east and is quiet expensive) cheers

Try to get your hands on the orange Aqualog book axle, it trumps the back to nature book for a species listing, all though the back to nature has some good little bits on habitat and feeding. The orange Aqualog is getting harder to find in OZ but a good AQshop should be able to order it and be prepared to open your wallet a bit further when you find 1. J
