| I have a common pair and a L100 pair sharing a tank until the christmas tree comes down next week, I recently put a 'proper' cave in there to help the males out at feeding time (women are greedy buggers) My question is and i know breeding has been discussed in length on other posts but not l100's can my common male and L100 female breed together? It's more of a concern than anything else, i wouldn't like to breed something with anything other than it's own but she's showing alot of interest in his cave and he's 'fake fanning' should i move them quick to be safe or is it unlikley they will be successful? Any help appriciated. | |

| I don't know if the common BN and the L100 will hybridize or not. Most of the time I think fish stick to their own kind when given a choice, but what we consider a "kind" and what the fish recognizes as it's own kind may not be the same. The only way to be sure hybridization didn't take place would be to separate them if you have the space. | |
