| I use PVC pipe too, but for bigger size BN, I use a discus breeding cone and instead of sitting up, I lay it down, holding it with 2 clothes peg so it won't roll around. It was a last min thing and I couldn't find anything big enough, cos my friend jus passed me his pair of common BN for breeding when I visited. Anyway, they used the breeding cone and gave me their 1st batch of fry very recently. | |

| yeah, its too big.
They may use it if there is nothing else and you condition them up really well but under normal conditions I would be surprised if they did. | |

i always file the inside of my pipes doen to make them more rough..... i also usually block the end partially... good luck... | |

| thats a better option but it is still a bit roomy for them. Longfins might feel more at home in it cut in half for the extra width though. | |
