| Cleaned out my canister filter for the pep tank and found a couple fry in there. For some reason they were slightly bigger than the ones in the tank. Any logical reason behind this? And what would it have been eating? :| | |

| yeah it happens. they eat the slime that builds up in the filters. and they can be bigger simply because they have such good supply of food | |

| Kinda makes me want to build a sump for the tank just to keep fry in. I just think it's strange they get bigger living off gunk rather than the fresh veg and numerous different algae wafers and catfish tabs I spoil em with... Then again they are bottom feeders... | |

| its what they eat, in the wild they eat that slime and algae that builds up on the rocks and logs. so it stands to reason they will grow better on it. | |
