| I found these on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220733472117&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XL-Internal-Sponge-Filter-Aquariums-360-litres-/320642594077?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item4aa7c9b51d Would they be good in a breeding tank? i like the look of the sponge filter more because it is safer for the fry, what do you think? Also, could you explain how the sponge filter works? i don't really understand the concept, do you just put it in the tank? Thanks James | |

| buy them both Sponge filters work with air What happens is you attach an airline to it and it bubbles away. THe air bubbling up the tube acutally generates lift. Its sucks water through the sponge and it expels it with the bubbles They do not filter that much water but they do it well. That is why you need at least 2 of them in a breeding tank unless you have a power filter. I like to have a sponge filter and a power filter in my tanks. gets more air into the water while keeping it well filtered | |

| OK, i have had the Juwel fish tank for about 8 years now so they seem to be reliable, but there's nothing wrong with precautions... Thanks James | |
