Hey all I was wondering weather if you had x4 fish tanks around 60-100 litres each weather you could get 1 external filter and have it setup to run 4 tanks, kind regards Smile

You could I suppose, but the risk you take is that any problem/disease that occurs in one of the tanks would be introduced into all of them.
I wouldn't know how to go about adapting the plumbing on a standard filter for such a set-up, but perhaps someone else does. scratch

For my rack of 8 small angel fry/juv tanks I have a good size sponge filter in each, and use a HOT Magnum that I hang on front and can move from tank to tank as needed. These are bare bottom tanks which get at least 2 to 3 50% water changes a week.

I have three HOT Magnums, I don't care for them as permanent filters, but as a movable extra filter or quick water polishing they work great.
