| just wanted to know if bristle noses actually consume bog wood as mine is hidden by plants at back so dont know if you need to replace it sometimes thanks | |

| I don't think your bogwood will need replacing, they only consume very small amounts when rasping.
It is thought that the wood suppies lignin, which may be a vital part of their diet, this is the reason you should always have a peice of bogwood.

| they do eat a bit but when i say a bit, it would prob take them 4 years to eat a toothpick. Their rasping mouths will tear off little bits with the algae and slime that they are eating and it is said to improve digestive health. Just like us, nothing like a good bit of ruffage in our diet to keep us healthy! | |
