| eat more aggressivly? Are we talking about bristlenose here or other fish. Some fish are violent when they eat, my oscars will destroy a shrimp if one is silly enough to go for a wander in the open and not stay in the plant work. Bristlenose on the other hand are very placid eaters. They just munch away on whatever there is around. | |

SERIOUS If we run of of live Brine at work there would be a riot! I would have thought there would have been someone locally. Alternativly, be sneaky about it. Claim you are getting into 'sea monkeys' http://www.amazon.com/Schylling-Sea-Monkeys-Ocean-Zoo/dp/B001CBZXEE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331777979&sr=8-1 its just another tiny tank and they are cool...then one day half of them disapear, then they breed up and then half diapear again. | this is basically the method i used a few years ago
http://home.coqui.net/menace/artemias.htm
basically you need container, salt (marine salt) and the eggs.
mix up to a salinity of about 35 salinty and add some airation or slight water movement and off you go. | |

| Can you get any live foods locally Food that moves will often tempt poor feeders to eat and once they are eating then they soon start taking anything you offer. | |

| mass producing is a bit different. Our supplier in the shop has a massive pond he uses to breed them in. Might not be able to mass produce them in a small tank. Though they are easy enough to raise. and in a packet of eggs you get 1000s of them. sell the $5 a serve and you are laughing! | |

| i was reading something about a guy growing them out in a big tub. like 60 gallons or something. no moving water. just a clear plastic cover. he grows small amounts of brine shrimp inside and as the babys hatch. he dumps the left over eggs and some of the shrimp into this bucket. they reproduce in this bucket and he gets more bang for his buck. not only does he have babys freshly hatched but he has a breading colony out side making more for his older fish. | |
