| Hi all, i got another female BN yesterday, but she is really pale in colour, my male has a beautiful colour that is yellow - ish but this new female is real pale as said before, she has patches of brown in areas but that is all, will she get some colour in her soon? My other female is a really dark colour and is fine, just for extra info.
Thanks for any help

| so lets say the colour is because of her diet, she wasn't from a fish store so i don't know what she was being fed, so if i feed her the same as what i'm feeding my other two, her colour should improve? and genetics, i can't control, apart from a tiny bit in selective breeding, but that's off the point | |

| Interesting. I've noticed as babies become juvenile there are quite a few variations in the same spawn. Talking about the common browns. in size - some are over twice the size of others and colour, some are very dark and some very light. They are all beautiful. | |

| i forgot to mention health and stress will also affect colour. Just look after her, treat her right and I'm sure she will show her true colours, whatever they might be. | |

| OK thanks, it took a long time to catch her when i collected her, obviously it was not me trying to catch her, her tank was also in a conservatory and that made the tank quite green, this might be why Thanks again for the help James | |
