| Well, one of my breeding tanks had developed a bit of a leak in on of the corners. not much, a drop a minute but enough to soak into the wood supporting it an warp it a bit and annoy me. So I grabbed a second hand tank from the my work for cheep as chips. its was a cracker, a two foot cube. perfect for breeding bristlenose. I put it on the rack, up the top where the leaking one was and started filling it. Got about 3/4 full then drip drip drip...GUSH!!!! the seal along the back bottom went. I got about 3 siphons going to try an empy it fast but I still ended up with about 20 ltrs of water on the CARPET!!! GRRRR! behind the rack where its almost impossible to get to to dry it up. ARGH! Oh well, guess I was going to have to steam clean that room anyway. just a massive pain! I tested it at uni too so i thought it was safe. Oh well, got another one, not as good though. its 40 d x 70 w x 40 h...90ish ltrs... thinking i will move the peps in there once the female is ready | |

| That's terrible. I always worry about that because it happens sometimes, a tank, a filter, something; no matter how careful you try to be. I am fortunate at least in that I have a basement with a concrete floor with a drain. Most of my tanks are down there. | |

| Yeah that sux Doug I've had a tank split from front to back on the bottom plane of glass. And a hot tip for fisho's using canister filters : keep an eye on your tap seals, old or mis-shapen seals this can also result in 20+ltrs on your carpet, as I found out last weekend J | |
