I fed a bit of pear to my breeders a few days ago, they really enjoyed it. I used the top bit with the stalk on as it was the hardest bit so didn't deteriorate too quickly.

Tried mine on it last night and the results were discouraging to say the least, one had a half hearted nibble at it but other than that ,this morning it was almost totally untouched. :o might try it again in a week or so  I think they are spoilt!

Hmmm pear now there's an interesting one, might have to grab one when I next go shopping. Would you have to blanch fruit or can you just chop it and chuck it straight into their tank?

I wouldn't try blanching as pear is already quite soft so further softening would just ruin it. Use a spoon or something to hold it down, its worth giving it a go.
