My L182 have FINALLY done it...

Just to let you all no my wild L182's have finally got it on ......
thanks to the cave provided by L-Number thanks for that mate

My Male (Big Freddy) is fanning like mad in his cave...
he also kicked a large bunch of eggs out in which i have in a fry saver and first sign's of fry are now appearing...

Great news for me in total its took 4 months.....

Thanks for all the support everybody gave me through the painfull process but iam there now so wooooooooooooooooo

Wahey Big Freddy , u da man. Congrats on the spawn Curby. What tricks do you think prompted
the action? Now if you can send some of that pepp luck my way that would be great.

had a bit of a nightmare mate he decided he didnt want the eggs so he kicked them out
i put the eggs in a fry saver but only managed to save 3.....
they are doing well and are growing very quickly..iam gutted but i no they will spawn now so its just a case of him getting it right next time...
if not the eggs will go into a tumbler....

Sorry to hear that mate , he'll sort it out eventually , or just keep tumbling them eggs.

Great news CURBY i told you they would do it you just have to be patient my male occasionlt kicks the eggs i think its when my 3 year old son banging on the glass every now and agin that does it but it is his first spawn so he is new to it all couple more spawns and he will be fine

How are the little ones doing? keep up on water changes and feed them plenty of Courgette

there doing great mate one has grown alot quicker than the others but they are all little stunner's....i will get some more pics up when i get the chance ...

I had a few swordtails in there at the time and they were breeding themselves but when my male kicked the eggs out they started pecking them so i got rid of them....also i added a new female in there which i thought would help but things have just stopped???

Its the male thats the problem both female's are always pestering him and sitting on his cave and are always near him..but he shows no interest which i think is strange as he has done it before with the same female??

What do you think mate its getting a little frustrating again and W/C's have been done reugular??

I honestly wish I knew the answer. All our B/N's have gone on strike too. We've had one spawn from a longfin trio. Fingers crossed the storm over the weekend gave them a charge ..............

I don't think it's anything to do with the way they are kept as I'm sure that as with us, you've changed nothing. However, some people have suggested splitting them for a while, or if you have more than one breeding pair/trio, swapping the males to see if that does anything.

A friend of ours had an albino female that would kill any male that was put with her, and we thought she needed a pair of dungarees and a pipe Another friend decided to give her a try with his big male, and surprisingly she settled with him and they spawned regularly.
