Spawnd Finally.....

After a very long time trying to get my 182's to spawn again a spanner has been thrown into the works lol....

My big common Tyson...


Has only gone and done it with my new albino female....

She was trying to get into my male albino's cave last week but she must have done a U-Turn and gone for Tyson instead which iam chuffed to bits with as he was the first BN i owned so to see him raising young is fantastic......

I was gonna do a gravel vac today and remove my endler's from the tank so i put all my endlers in a fry saver whilst i attempted to clean my tank untill i noticed 2 orange eggs outside Tyson's cave... i then new there must be a few inside but unfortunately i cant see in as he has picked the cave at the back of my tank grrrr..(sneaky git)....and then i see a couple of little wriggler's around his entrance to his cave and one on top....so i few more days and should start seeing plenty more....... .............

This has made my day woooooooooooooooo

Right a quick update...it seems Tyson has'nt done his job properley..

He was fanning for ages and now and again a little wriggler would appear....
Then the other morning i got up and checked and found my male albino in there and Tyson in a complete diff cave WTF!!.....i can only guess there was some sort of scrap during the night and tyson came off worse....
Only problem is now there is no fry anywere and i looked into the cave and i couldnt really get a good look but iam pretty sure all fry as now gone...

Gutted once again......i just cant work out why tyson would give his cave up to the albino....

But there's always next time......

Next time i will untill they are all swimming around before i post as iam sure iam cursed at the moment lol......

What sort of tank are they in Curby? Why not try to build a tank divider, the one I built worked great when the Blue eyed cichlids used to go at it .
Just head down to your local hardware store (or where you can buy irrigation systems for your garden) get 4x long "rigid" sprinkler raisers, 4x 90degree joiners(there's your frame ) now just hang something over it , I used a cloth mesh laundry bag.
As soon as they have spawned shoo all the other fish to other end of the tank and slip in the divider with Tyson alone in one side, might help.

Just a quick update

From the first spawn i mentioned i thought id lost them all but today ive counted almost 30 fry mainly albino's so im guesing there's more hiding around the place...

Also my albino's spawned again the other day and my male is fanning away in his bogwood so im guessing the number 30 will increase day by day...

Its all good lol....
Ive just got rid of 6 tetra's 5 harlequins 2 platinum tetra's and around 10 or so endler's out of my smaller tank to make way for fry so this time next week i will be carrying out a big fry transfer which wont be easy...

Just another update they are at it like mad and are now doing it every 2-3 weeks........

I now have about 70 BN Bambino's and my Male is fanning another batch....

Iam now over run lol........

I have advertised in the buy section if anybody wants some.........
