I finally got one!!

I am soooo over the moon lol

I have dreamt of having a double hexagon tank with the two tunnels connecting them.

Well yesterday whilst I was at Mums one came up on Freecycle, and Wayne asked for it and got it. He even collected it for when I got back All it needs is 2 new bulbs, which we are fetching from Maplins today.

It came with a fluval 2, and I will be putting one of our smaller pumps in the other side. I'm gonna put some cockleshell in the fluval 2 so I can have some of the purple snails in there with the guppys and endlers.

Even considering putting a pair of our young bristlies, who are almost ready to breed in there too, to see what happens If not, there'll be some bristlie fry in there anyway.

Freecycle is used for people to get rid of things that they no longer want, but are to good for the tip. I have seen old cars, boats, tv's given away, laptops, PC's, beds, carpets, doors, empty jam jars. In fact anything and everything is offered and asked for (except pets, the aren't allowed on the Sheffield one).

The old adage of ones mans trash is another mans treasure certainly applies

Lots of people generally go for the offered items, and it's pot luck who is lucky enough to get them. We got a gig of ram the other week, and we were the 4th people they had offered it to! The others never turned up

Believe me, people are giving things away and don't want anything in return other than the person collecting not to sell them for profit. I have given away loads of stuff too and have never expected more than a thank you so don't worry, no one expects you to pay lol

I was going to ask about the freecycle caper as well - no need to now.
I would like to emphasize though "PICCIES" Angi, I'm hangin to see what this tank looks like.
While we are getting inquisitive- Whats a "chav" tank ,I wouldn't mind seeing pix of this one either.
