L144 eggs

This is the second batch for my L144's. Dad didn't cover good the first time and didn't stay with them this time. He and the females are very young. Any way he covered better this time and I put them in a tumbler Sunday 1-1-12.


Then Thursday 1-5-12 there were wigglers


These are Sunday 1-8-12 they still have a little egg sac left.


These are late tonight


And with my finger for prospective


They are in a plastic breeder box floating in a five gallon tank with a bubble wand in the breeder box. I'll turn them loose in the tank when they start to eat better. Tank will be upsized as they grow.

I think dad will learn how to treat his offspring as he matures.
Mine was as clumsy as yours but now he is an excellent dad.

Congratulations on the fry

Hopefully your male will learn the art of egg and brood care, untill then your doing a great job on his behalf

After a couple tries your male should be right. Took my current male 3 spawns before he got it completely right. Any ways congrats on the spawn and good luck with the newly hatched fry
