| After long attepts it seems that my albino long fin female managed to spawn with my handsome male. I think that this is not the end of the spawn because I saw other 2 females knoking at the males cave. The poor lf alb female looks like after a hard battle. I hope that this time the babys are gone be ok because the parameters of the water look preety good. I do not know if I can take some pictures because the male sits on top of eggs and dont want to bother him being the first spawn after a long time. What do you think is the best food for the fry in the first days? Thank you!! | |

| Hi and Congrats on the eggs.I wouldn't disturb anything just leave well alone and let them get on with it and I hope all goes well.
Good food for babies once they leave the cave is cucumber, hikari algae wafers, canned green beans and skinned peas (that have had a quick blast in the microwave for a few seconds).Mine do great on these foods and always eat the lot and the adults like them all too.

| Good luck with the eggs and agree that it's not worth disturbing the male for a few photo's.
For the first 5 days or so after hatching they will live of their yolk sac, once that has been used is when they will start looking for food. As Bristlenoses has said cucumber is a great first food, with it being a soft veg it easier for new fry to eat, but they are capable of eating most things the parents eat.
