| Question!!
My 2 doz or so fry in the cave have all grown nicely and have used up all of their egg sack. they are wiggggggling around like they are getting an electric shock! Quite funny to see actually!
My 4doz in the frysaver however.... All have their egg sack still. There are a few very active ones who have used the majority of it but still they look like they have just hatched.. Is there something wrong? Do i need to get more current in there to "throw" them around a bit more?
A few also have bigger heads than the rest & next to no tail. Does this mean i have "special" ones that may need to visit the porcelain bus?

| So i just counted 25 fry that died overnight... THey had not formed a tail at all. I still have another 10 or so that i am a little worried about as they are a little wonky.
Could mum have damaged them as they were kicked from the cave?

| water has been perfect all ok. Am doing 20-30% water changes each day. The babies with dad have started to move out of the cave & the wonky ones are becoming less & less... Maybe the ammonia spike hadd some sort of effect on them? I will take a picture in the morning when i dont have toddlers stuck to me | |

| This is the last 4 of my "special" ones. I have about 30 that have survived & are mostly straight.... there was at least 50% looking like this. (about 35 in total) | |

| So should i send them on the porcelain bus? They cant move off the bottom of the fry saver and when they try to swim the current just takes them all over the tank... | |

| I'd put them in their tupperware container and then put them in the freezer. Humane way to do it. | |

| Are your pair unrelated ? it could be genetic if they are closely related. | |

| As Doug said!!
My male came from a breeder who reared him, and the female came from Doug.
All of the curly "special" ones have passed away - presumable because they could not swim properly. I have let the other 25 or so out into the tank last night so they can swim around & munch away on the driftwood.
