New Breeding Room!!!

I finally have a room dedicated to raising my Fish. I have 5 Tanks set up now and 4 more to go for now.

my biggest problem is I have a lot of little tanks and not enough big tanks. lol

I STARTED OUT SMALL LIKE THAT WITH ONLY A COUPLE OF 10 GAL AND A 29 GAL BUT NOW I HAVE SIX 5 GAL - 18 TEN GAL - 12 TWENTY GAL LONGS - 3 TWENTYS GAL HIGHS - 12 FORTY GAL BREEDERS - EIGHT 75 GAL - THREE 110 GAL - ONE 125 GAL - ONE 135 GAL - ONE 150 GAL - ONE 180 ALL OF THESE ARE IN MY FISH ROOM AND IM FIXIN TO BUY A 300 GAL TO GO IN MY DEN

THE REASON I HAVE MORE TANKS AND FISH THEN MOST PEOPLE IS IM ON DISIBILITY AND I BREED FISH AS A FULL TIME HOBBY AND I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 38 YRS NOW. I ALSO BUY AND SELL USED TANKS OR OUTFITS SO I NEVER BUY A NEW TANK WHEN I NEED ONE .

jobs are scarce in wisconsin even for some one with the qualifications I have. I have a obsession for starting my own businesses. I have been breeding fish for pretty close to 20 years and still have a lot of questions and this is kinda working to turn this into another business venture. So mike I just havent had a chance to call you yet but I will be to discuss more about what you had mentioned to me.

Right now I have 4- 10 gallons 1-5 gallon 1- 12 gallon 2- 15 gallons 1- 20 gallon tall and a 35 gallon tall. I have to get some glass cut to finish putting together my 30 Gallon long

i get glass cut to make my own tops for all my tanks

I have a tendancy to pick up tanks that have a cracked side or a leaky seal, out of the garbage or off the internet in my area and fix what ever is wrong with them and some that I get out of the garbage there is nothing wrong with them someone just dont want them anymore. tops I make out of a peice of plexy glass it is much easier to cut with out shattering it and you can drill threw it to put hinges on for your feeding door.

the only problem with plexy glass is is will sag or worp after time

if you use thicker stuff like 3/8" or even 1/2" that cures that problem.

I BOUGHT A PET STORE OUT THAT WAS CLOSING LAST YR AND ALL THEIR TANKS HAD 3/8 FOR LIDS AND WHERE THE LITES SIT ON THEM OVER THE YRS IT HAD SAG TO THE POINT SOME OF THEM WOULD FALL IN THE TANK IF YOU TOUCH THEM. I GUESS EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN WAY OF DOING THINGS BUT AS LONG AS I CAN GET SCAPE 1/4 PLATE GLASS TO MAKE MY LIDS THATS ALL I NEED AND WANT

I go to thrift stores alot to find tanks and supplies for cheap too. one day I got 5 lid sets for 10 gallon tanks for 95 cents each.

I counted the babies from my last batch of my albinos as I transfered them to my grow tank and there was 69 of them.

all the thrift stores around here ask about what a new would cost on any thing from just a tank to a completet outfit

I need a couple more females to go with him. he is only about a year and a half old.

i keep atleast 2 females and some times up to 4 or 5 with each male

I bought these 2 as a pair before he even had bristles, thats kinda why I approched you about trading what I have from my first batch of babies for some others. I payed alot for them and really dont have alot of money to spend on more. I measured babies tonight and the ones from my first batch are 1 1/4" long and my new babies are already 3/4"

I am working on compiling a list of fish stores in the area that I can partition to buy my babies too.
