| should males be given a rest? recently had trio he had 1st batch of eggs then bout 3wks later had 2nd batch | |

| Hi,in my opinion they should definately be given a rest.They either starve themselves or eat very little during their time caring for eggs and fry and constantly fan them.This takes a lot out of them over a period of time.How often they need a rest is a matter of opinion and depends on a few factors but for the main part I would say that after raising 2 lots of fry (if they were one straight after the other ) that a rest would do them good,even if it is just a week or two. | |
