Activated carbon section. Carbon included. They sound excellent Brandon! Under normal circumstances you don't need carbon, so if the carbon compartment can hold something else, all the better. I would put extra sponge in there, or if I had a heavily stocked tank perhaps some zeolite. If you can afford it, I'd say definitely go with the bigger. What's the brand name on these?
