I happened upon liveaquaria's site for buying Bristlenose plecostomus and was appalled when I read the feeding instruction (which they corrected), as follows:

"Feeding the Bushy Nose Plecostomus is not difficult due to the fact that it is not a picky eater. Feeding off the bottom of the aquarium, it gets most of its nutrition from left over food and algae. If there is no algae or left over food present, supplement with high quality flake food, sinking carnivore pellets, freeze-dried bloodworms, and tubifex."

I sent them a very polite email asking it to be changed, and within 2 days it was done! Here is the revision. I am just glad to see a company accept their mistake and correct it so quickly.

I am glad they did the responsible thing!

Good Job

I'm sure many BN and buyers would thank you!
Foster and Smith should at least send you a gift certificate.

Good catch,
Sarah

Good on ya for picking it up and correcting them Very Happy
Not very many companies actually fix their mistakes like that, even less fix it quickly. Your email must've been quite persuasive Wink

Never underestimate the power of asking for something politely! Then throw in a compliment about something they do that you like. This prevents anyone from getting defensive and feeling incompetent. I have learned that this almost always yields positive results! Lets face it, we are all human and mistakes happen. No harm was ever intended. What defines us is how we handle these mistakes.

I work for a large health care system (10,000+ employees) and they teach all the employees this method of correction (it ha a specific name, i just can't remember it right now) and encourage us to constructively criticize our co workers when necessary.
