| So I just fed butternut squash for the first time. The "neck" seems much tougher than the "body." For the body I took out all the seeds and left a thin layer of "guts", scored it with a fork and rubbed in granulated garlic. Do you guys ever leave the "guts?" This part of the squash Sank in its own. I blanched the neck because it seemed so much tougher and I was feeding it to my babies. I added it to a frying pan with water for a couple minutes to soften it up. Not sure if that is blanching technically but it did the trick. I also scored it with some garlic. I forgot to see if it sunk on its own :,( It's a huge hit with my adults! Haven't checked back on the babies yet. | |

| Hmm, I blanched the neck if the butternut squash for the second feeding. It sunk right away on it's own but the water turned super cloudy :,(
All fish seem to be fine and are super active still. One tank cleare up overnight, the other is still cloudy ATM.
Next I try the bamboo! | |

| the cloudyness comes from either a bacterial bloom or from small bits of the veges breaking up cos its been over blanched. | |
