I have my choice of two lights--one's a double bright led, the other a high output plant light. In time I'd like to have plants. I'm wondering if I'd be limited in what I could grow with the double bright or if I'd end up working myself to death with the high output. Suggestions?

Thanks

Didn't get that.
If you have $1000+ go ahead with LED. Scenario with cheaper ones: you'll buy them and then, after awhile, you'll get HO. The only thing that grows well under cheap LED is algies.

Thanks for writing, kaban.

I won a contest and lighting was the prize, so I went with the high output 3-color leds and timer. I tried plants about 9 years ago, only I was just using fluorescent lights and pest snails took everything over. With nice lights I'm just hoping not to run myself ragged trying to balance lights, nutrition and CO2 Smile

I really appreciate the imput

depends what you are wanting to grow. there are lots of plants that do well under the double bright LEDs. if you are thinking of planting some more light hungry plants then go for HO
