| i lost 3 super reds to what i think is bloat, iv done my third day of using octozin, but it donw seem to be working. there is another which has a swollen belly, whats going on. i havent fed them for a few days either, i have given some deshelled peas tonight though for the other fish to eat and hopefully the swollen one, ifit eats them

| Tank size and setup: juwel vision 180. live plants. some bog wood. slate caves. bamboo caves.
Substrate: play sand
filtration (Internal, external, flow rate, last cleaned and what it was cleaned in): built in filter and a fluval 205 external.
Airstone/sponge filter etc: diffuser on built in filter
Inhabitance: 1.5 to 2inch super red ancistrus, corydora metae. pair of L183 and 1 siamese algae eater
Fish affected by issue (all/bottom dwellers, all bristlenose or a single fish etc): super red ancistrus
Feeding system (what, how much, how often) Sweet potato, peas, squash, algae pellets, mushroom, fed every day different types with one day off. plus other veggies
current water change system (before illness appeared) 10% every 2 days with hma and ro .
water changes made since illness appeared: non due to treating with octozin. will do a change on 7th day.
As many levels as you know (pH, Ammonia, nitrate, nitirite, KH, GH, TDS, aanything you can find out, your local fish shop should be able to help with this): nitrates, around 10. kh 3, gh 6, tds 136, amm 0, nitrites 0,
any chemicals used (including carbon/chemical fitration inside the filter): octozin at recomended dosage. water source and treatment: mix of ro and hma which is buffered up to around 100 tds
Major changes in the last 3 weeks (new fish, new plants, new anything or changes): added fresh alder cones.
Symptoms (gasping, not moving, bloated, spots, wounds, stressed colours etc): not moving around much and swollen belly, lost 4 so far. | |

| How long you've been using RO water? How long you've been usin those proporions? What's the temperature? Did you pull the cones out? Did you use any salt or copper? | iv managed to save one out of 9. so lost 8. ph is 6.8 and i water change every day or sometimes i miss a day and gravel vac twice a week. so not an happy bunny octozin well what can i say. waste of bloody money so will be looking into something better than that to keep has an emergency.. just glad i saved one which is the biggest female

| so does white stringy poop always mean bloat or does it have to be really long to be classed has stringy. also can feeding mushroom give them a lighter colour poop | |

| Hi,did you remove any carbon prior to treatment? Sorry can't help with mushroom feeding as i have never fed it. What do you feed the other fish in the tank? Bristlenoses | |
