| I am sorry to hear that :,( maybe it's stress related? Can you give more info regarding the tank and tank mates?
Also I artificially raised some BN eggs and I added a small amount of methylene blue to prevent fungusing of the eggs. I am pretty sure my fry death is 1/50, so not too bad.
Good luck and don't give up!

| If nothing hatched from the eggs you placed in the tumbler, and you followed the procedures, there's big chance they weren't fertile at all. And that might be the reason he kicked them out. | |

| this is a normal problem we have with the peppermint bristlenose males here in australia (I say this because it is still unknown what the origin of the peppermint bn over here is, whether it has an L# or is a mix of a few different L#s) it is one reason people give up on breeding them and sell them off. the other reason is they take so long to mature lol. i remember Doug writing a reply to another members question with the same problem and he stated that a male he had would boot the eggs if he so much as sneezed in the other side of the house lol. now i know that is a bit exaggerated lol but the fact of the matter is they are highly sensitive for some reason. when the male has eggs the best thing to do is not to disturb him at all. a good trick is to wrap a towel around the front of the tank so he cant see you walk past (yes sometimes thats all it takes lol) When i first found pep fry in a breeding tank when i used to have them it was actually a surprise because i didnt even know they had bred. thats how much i was leaving them alone. all i did was pop some food in the tank at night before bed but the males do get better at it after a while and they will stop booting eggs once they get used to you while they have eggs | |

| Ooh, I like the towel idea!
I am able to buy 3 peppermint a here in the states for $75. I have been thinking about it but in the guy's pic none of them have bristles.... He also has a pair of L183 as well. I can't remember the price on these guys.
Yay indecision!
Let us know if you get eggs again!
