| Hi im new to this forum and need some advice, My pair of bristlenose that are currently in my 50 gallon community tank have spawned, im just curious as to whether or no the fry will be ok with the other fish i have in my tank. 1 10cm kissing gourami 2 pearl gouramis 1 dwarf gourami 1 sailfin molly 1 platy 5 peppered corys 5-6 guppies 1 black ghost knife 3 other bristlenose 1 orange spot bristlenose female. I have a 20gal tank set up to breed bristlenose in and have a trio in there as i was not expecting the pair in my community tank to spawn, will the fry be ok to stay in my community tank with the other fish when they hatch or should i transfer the male BN and eggs over to my 20 gallon tank, i am also setting up another 50 gallon tank with in the next couple day but obviously have to wait for it to cycle. Do you have any tips on how i can speed up the process on cycling that tank also? Thanks | |

| welcome!
I'd be looking to move them. To cycle the tank faster use some media from your existing tank or get some quick start by API. | |

| Thanks guys i put a sponge filter in with my normal filter in my 20 gallon tank about 2-3 weeks ago, i set up the other tank yesterday and placed my normal filter with a new filter and some of the water i got from vacuuming my gravel In the new tank to help the cycle process. Do you suggest moving them before they hatch or after? I just dont want the dad to leave the cave if i move them. | |
