| It depends on individual males and also the type of cave as to when they emerge. If you can get the cave, fry and the male into a container and transfer all of them to your fry tank sooner rather than later. | |

| Thanks,
Its a standard rectangle slate cave, thats what i thought about the move.
just out of interest..... my male has possibly only 4 bristles leading from above the mouth up between the eyes but the bristles are more like punk rocker spikes, unlike the other males i have which have the standard bristle formation. Is this a standard bn or a different?

| It's a punk rocker bristlenose Have you got a pic of him? He will be exactly the same as all the others except he has a different formation of bristle growth,it's good to be different.Unless of course some other fish ate some of his bristles, has he always been like that? Would be nice to see a pic and also would be good to know if any of his babies have the same, but unless you keep some till they develope you wont know. | |

| Ive had him for about 2years as a fry, he has been in with 2 other males and 4 females but I had those all as fry about 8months ago and mohawk was fully grown as I brought the batch of fry to breed from, the other 2 males ive got have the standard bristles..... now I have a breeding male its time to sell on the 2 other males and 2 females move mohawk and his girls to a breeding tank and look at breeding some clowns. The Mrs will be pleased lol | |
