| put peas in the tank, change 15% water daily with gravel vac & stop feeding everything else. Just peas for about a week or so.

| You can hit the tank with a broad scale antibiotic if you like but bloat is a mainly controlled by diet. The antibiotics would be killing off the excess bacteria from the dying fish.
Epsom salt baths work really well too if the fish is not too far gone.

| are you sure it is bloat, not worms or something? again, pics and using the template will help. still lots of info we need to know to really help out If you are still loosing fish then there is something going on. - Do a daily gravel vac to remove all traces of poo. this should result in a 10-20% daily change
- Feed nothing to the tank but peas and cucumber
- give the affected fish a epsom salt bath, you can gently massage their tummy too
- treat the tank with a broad scale copper based antibiotic (Myxizin comes to mind)
- if there is no wood in the tank get it in there NOW
- have a good attitude and sing to your fish:shock:

| yep it looks like all the pic's of bloat I seen normaly I get a death of bloat one or 2 a year and thats the end of it but this is wiping me out . Talked to Ungy ( Saul ) he said try garlic but they would not touch it. then he sugested TC I been using 2 teaspoons in a 55 daly and still I'm getting deaths.
Chase I feed all my BNP tanks the same foods and only this tank is getting bloat. It is not the food it is a pathogen. It is killing both juvies and adults. I put green beans in the tank and they are not even touching it. I think all my plecos stoped eating.

| I agree this is very odd, sorry to hear :,(
Are you still feeding the pea/egg food? Not sure of the ratios used but possibly too much protein with the egg causing constipation. I second Doug's advice of pes/cucumbers and epsom salt.
If it's not the food as you suspect I would treat for parasites.
When you said you think all your plecos stopped eating, was that just for this one tank or them all?
Good luck and keep us posted.

| you dont test your water? how are we meant to help you if we don't know what is going on in your water? If you have sick fish the first port of call is the water quality. Even if you change the water every day it still doesn't mean the water cant be the cause. | |
