Maybe gonna get some SUPER RED BNS any help plz

Ok thinking im really liking the look of these Super reds bristlenoses ..
unsure what their proper name is or l number ..id appreciate it if someone could help me on this ..xx

anyway my friends recently purchased some ohh sooo bright and wicked looking ,so ive managed to find someone who can sell me some ..reasonably priced too i reckon ..was thinking of either 2 or 4 but im advised 6 for a breeding group ..but hadnt really planned on breeding but maybe i could..
but i may go 2 girls to 1 boy between 2 tanks

so im looking to source any info on these as its proving quite hard.to find .and also whats smallest size tank id need for just a breeding group of 3 or even 6 bns depending ..

any ideas of substrate ,ph best,etc greatly appreciated thanks ..

High k.bod, I can't give you much care advice apart from I'm guessing they would be similar to common B/N's, one piece of advice I can reccomend is "get'em" for sure(these aren't even available in OZ yet)
As for a breeding group, if you grab six or so wait a little while until you can pick the difference between male and female - split the males (trade them out for different males) then you don't get brothers and sisters doing the horizontal mamba.

thanks Kurosaki J ..yeh i think im gonna get them my friends have just arrived and im smitten..her friends got them from germany for her and has a few more..

im getting a group of 6 ..im told theyre about 4cm big and should breed in about 6 months ..the person selling them me says they will try get me 2 males and 4 females ..

& at £10 each im definatly sold considering my lfs sell brown bns from £4.99-£7.99

now all i need is to re-arrange tanks ..or maybe buy more lol

i bought six supper reds a few months ago their stunning sadly they turnd out to be 5 males and one female ive been trying to get some more from a different sorce as im not going to let these breed together so any info from were you got yours would be much appreciated good luck with them

mine are coming in week or so as im doing some moving with tanks ..so for now i will have to look at pics till i get them ..

my friends look great and are doing well ..so cant wait

ive got six not sure of the sexes yet but lovelly fish colin.

wicked colin any pics ? wot size tank/tanks they in.. also wot size tank would recomend..?

hiya they are in a fluval roma 125 i think the size is 30 inch ,12inch by 18inch high ive tried to up load photos but couldnt figure it out sorry . im going to wait and see what sexs i get and get another tank about the same size for them colin.

ive got my 6 coming at weekend poss monday as well as 5x claro LDA08 these are soo cute ..im at mablethorpe and mine are being delivered in person but he does use a fish courier not royal mail so cant see prob for delivery ..

i do no my friend has leopard frog plecs these are gorgeous and i dont think hes major expensive ..he also has zebra plecs unsure if selling any babies yet ..he breeds rare bns/plecs so let me no if need anything else ..cheers kaz xx

okay great these are the dark red bristlenose i have read about in germany and like 144 but dark adn ger black bristles sometimes and there is some did you say ??? how much are they and so on sizes ??? cheers

these are super red bristlenoses L144 very bright red come from germany im unsure what size the ones has for sale are but he will send you email with price and size ..

he also has Albino long fin Ancistrus,L333 King Tiger Hypancistrus,Ancistrus Blauage im trying so hard not to order any more honest

oright lol i know wht you mean i have spent a fortune on my longfins but getting results with my giant calico longfins and l144 longfins due to spawn any time i live in middlesbrough is he close or is it down south i know theres a guy in middlesbrough called steve who has these but i went to look and he didnt have any for sale at the time but hopefully this guy can get me some cheers

yeh my mates called steve if its same guy then maybe not too far from you ..if different guy still no prob hes doing a delivery himself from his through sheffield up to lincolnshire mine so he could deliver or use courier ..

ive read these appeared in germany a normal batch of BN Ancistrus so were selective bred to keep the colour ..not colour fed at all ..also known as 'red-fire' or 'super rot apparently youngsters are orange and brighten up more as age ..
