At last spawnings again!!!

Well, after a LONG time without any spawnings, it seems that they are back on track.

The unknown ancistrus spawned 2 weeks ago and the fry are doing great. Dad is back in the original tank with the female again.

The last Thursday night both the albinos spawned (first time parents) and the brown longfins spawned too.

Can you see me grinning from where ya are?? LOL

Well the albinos hatched yesterday morning, and the longfins hatched late last night. A couple of the longfin fry have been kicked out of the cave but other than that all is well.

I will "try" and get some pics of them later, but I gotta dash in a mo as it's time to go to Mums and clean up for her ..... she can't manage anymore

I will also try and get a pic of the pelvicachromis taeniatus moliwe's that have bred. Only about 6 have survived this time, but it's the first spawning for this pair so things should improve.

OMG

The longfins have gone and done it again!!

Was catching up a load of endler fry from the tank to move into another grow on tank and noticed the male had the female trapped in there. When I'd finished she was out and he was fanning. On the of chance I took a peek and yes, there were eggs

The first lot are still in the grow on tanks (the standard albinos too) so it's time to move the purple apple snail eggs to a different tank so we can re split it LOL

First of all iam sorry to hear about your mum's trouble's cant be easy for you all....

And seems like things are going great for you on the spawning's....

Do you have any normal Albino fry???
I could do with some for my small tank.....

Yea, Mum is struggling but fortunately she's only a coupla hundred yards away so any problems and I can be there in no time.

Yep, we're very pleased with the spawnings

Yep, we have some normal albino fry, but most are only a coupla weeks old, although we have some just getting ready to pair of, and a couple smaller ones

We've just put the male back into the tank earlier today with the female and it seems they were getting all romantic this evening. So looking forward to another clutch of eggs soon.

Here's a pic of the male, I managed to get one of him in the fry tank after the young were free swimming.

I adore his markings

great to hear angi......... with a bit of luck they shall be...at it in no time....

As soon as we put the male longfin in, he got amorous and he was sitting on eggs late the same evening. He'll be moved (again) to the birth/fry tank just as soon as we catch up the last batch
