Bn's do like to change colour alot , when water changes are done they also change colour, and sometimes when they are a little angry
i also had one that was always pale but i bought it like that and sadly it died , but not to worry unless they go really grey..

My bristlenose that changes colour is Monster. She does that mostly while gaurding her zuchini and also like you said after a water change. But she does go darker again afterwards. She is growing the best and eating the best, so I am sure she will be ok

yeh like i said its normal so no need to worry unless she goes mega grey, good to hear she feeds well, my female is very greedy, my male is twice her size about 10" and he rarely gets a look in, in fact i think most female's will feed better than males as they like to plump up for spawning....

Thanks She is the godmother in the tank She gets everything first. First zuchini, algae wafers and shrimp pellets. No one dares go for the food first even if she is asleep at the top of the filter. They will wait until she has had some nibbles and then swim closer

lol she sounds like a character, my female is the same in fact i can put the zucchini in and whilst i still have hold of it she will come onto it, and start feeding
she's very tame.........

Monster does the same thing. To gravel vac is difficult cause she keeps on swimming around my hand looking for some treats
To remove the zuchini is another story too, cause she hold on for dear life. She clings on until she needs to go back into the water and then she lets go and swims up to the filter to go and sulk.
She also recognises me, cause if I go and sit infront of the tank she will come swimming and suck on the glass right by my face as if to say Hello

In our community tank, it's the Discus and then the hoplos that get to the Courgette first, the bristlies wait for the commotion to be over before they go in and finish it

my females are first on the the sence every time as soon as they hear the lid on the tank they are waiting to grab it and chew to bits, a whole strip of courgette lasts little more than 10 mins

my females are all the same feed on it straight away where as the males wont touch it until the lights are out

i guess males are quite moody when they wanna be

Seems like all the females want to get at the food first. I have even noticed that with my Neons. The fatter females always take the trouble to go to the top and feed there as the food is dropped where the males will hang around and wait for the food to reach the centre of the tank

Same as the ones you had off me quite some time ago, never did manage to smuggle the others out of the old folks tank kept 5 of my last imports they are getting quite fat now so fingers crossed for later this year.

i have a breeding trio that where Windys off PF so fingers crossed they should spawn for me soon

I got an extra 4 LG6 whiptails, a pair of royal whiptails, an extra 9 L134 leopard frogs, two extra L204's, 6 hypancistrus contradens, 4 L075 leopard plecos, 1 L203 titanic pleco and a pair of L202 plecos.

AND a pair of my ABN's have fry!!! My first ever successful pleco breeding.

currently have 2 pair of ABN and about 100 fry 1 week old and 30 up to 3cms. large pair of pepps hopefully start breeding soon.
