Breeding Cave Empty
PostSubject: Breeding Cave   Breeding Cave EmptySat Apr 03, 2010 7:49 am

I recently purchased 2 male and 2 female BN. 1 male is much more developed then the other, but they are still both of breeding age. I have already had a spawn of fry, that would have been about 2 - 3 weeks ago. The fry are now freely swimming around the tank but the father won't emerge from the cave EVER. The 2 females and the other male swim around the tank but I never see the other male. Does anyone have any ideas as to why he's not leaving the cave? He's not looking after the fry anymore as they're everywhere, nor is he protecting eggs.

I'm new to all this but my understanding was that the male would leave their cave occasionally but this thing is basically glued in there. Amidst all this, the other male I have doesn't seem to have a cave at all, he just goes everywhere. Very strange.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.
