I am not advertising here but, I use the new Prestige Aquatics Carnivore pellets, Spirulina Wafers & Vegie Bites.
I have that many BN fry that I can not only say they enjoy it, but it has improved the spawning rates as my 6x2x2 is absolutely crawling with wrigglers!
This combined with fresh vegs certainly will do me.

most likely the added protein is helping get the breeders back in condition faster.
be careful about feeding that diet to the fry though as their digerstive tract is a lot more sensitive that the parents and they will get bloat much quicker.

Yep, but as wrigglers I have my own dust mix that is primarily Spirulina base with a very LOW protien content.
I am also a firm believer in not removing the shavings that the adults have created while grazing on the tanks driftwood as I believe this is an integeral part of the wrigglers digestive systems development.

With the blue lighting..how long do you leave it on? Would it interfere with the sleep of my other fish? Where I have live plants in my tank I leave the lights on for 14 hours and lights off for 10 hours.

my blue light doesnt interfere with the other fish, though mine is not that bright.

Actually once all the other lights are turned off the blue is no where as bright as it appears [The tricks lighting can play on the camera!]
As for using the 6' well that is because I used to breed frontosa and CA Nasties, so the tanks had to be large due to body sizes.
I generally turn it on following the evening feed so that they are more comfortable, this usually stays on for around 4 - 5hrs and they certainly seem to enjoy it.
