my ancistrus teminckii have been naughty again... lol
whilst doing my water change tonight and having a shift round with my caves....
I move my caves about every 6 weeks while I move my sand substrate around to get rid of any harmful gases.......
Very important ( whenever I move my caves I pour the water inside into a fry saver just incase there are any fry in there I was not expecting )....
Anyways I moved my sand substrate and caves tonight, and out popped about 35-40 little wrigglers all into the fry saver...
I don't do this very often, but wanted to make sure if there were any wrigglers inside that my bumblebee catfish
would not have them for late supper..lol
So now my breeding pair of ancistrus are proud parents again.... after a long period of not mating due to adding peppermint L71, and a couple of
bumblebee catfish to the aquarium I was beginning to wonder if I had disturbed their 3 weekly cycle of mating....
Well it seems I did, and they were late spawning. Now after a 2 month holiday they have a nice group of babies
Should be nice little group here... just in time for me moving home next month too...
I think they seem to be about 3 weeks old have no egg sacs in sight and all seem quite well formed.
Dropped a little algae wafer in with a little bit of plant I found floating in the tank during the water change and they all seem to be feeding well
