OK so i don't breed BNs yet but i hope to in the near future, i just hope to improve my knowledge a bit more beforehand.

So, here is my question, if a female lays eggs and the male is fanning them e.t.c.

should they be moved into a smaller tank on their own with the male, then when they hatch put the male back?

should they be taken away from the male?

...or should they just be left in the tank, then when they hatch, put them in a growing out tank?

Hope this is clear enough for you. Thanks

James

but in short, its up to you. most people leave them with dad. only reason i ever take them is if the dad boots them out

So long as and there are no fish that could make a meal of the them they are perfectly safe with their parents. Moving the male and newly hatched fry to the grow on tank early does save having to catch them later. One is hard enough to catch lol!

By the way I can thoroughly recommend Dougs book, it has lots of information and will improve your knowledge no ends.
