| Checked my tanks today when I got home and I have fry! Dad has them bunched in the breeding cave and is guarding them well. Just one question are gold spot plecos going to be a threat to them once dad moves them out of the cave cause there are three gold spots and three peppermints all less 5 cm long in the tank with them. | |

| WOW congrats on the spawn. I wouldnt worry about the fry, dad should keep them in the cave until they are ready to be released (or until they are too quick for him lol) And no the gold spots and peps should be fine. Just out of interest, how big is your tank? Gold spots get pretty big at around 1ft long | |

| Congratz... Yeh Kfenks right, its pretty rare that another plec will attack fry, most plecs are placid and wont eat the young unless they are already dead... | |

| They won't come out the cave as wriglers (well not if dad has anything to do with it) they will come pouring out as little tiny almost 1cm bn | |

| Last night I took a look in my tank just before I went to bed (as I do) and was lucky enough to watch all of the fry exit the cave en masse. What a simply amazing thing to witness, so today I'm both wrapped and very sleepy funny how they wont do these things at a much more considerate time isn't it ? | |
