| I recently made a new pair from one common male and an albino female bristlenose, having only raised common bn fry before what can I expect from this spawn. They are about a week old now and some look a shade lighter but not visibly albino. Does the colouring develop with age or have i mainly got a full brown spawn. I know the albino gene is quite dominant so I was expecting a fair few albinos out of this pair. | |

| Have you seen Dougs post about crosses HERE
At a week old they should be showing their colouration.

| If you can't see any albino then I'm guessing that they've only produced commons. If that's the case then I'm guessing the albino has the common gene. Most likely from having 1 common parent | |

| That must be the case then. I don't mind either way, I have another albino bn I can pair him with to see what she produces. | |

| the albino gene is very very resessive.
the results of the cross always depend the genetics of the parents and its very hard to know that without doing endless crosses.
