Twin spawn Empty
PostSubject: Twin spawn   Twin spawn EmptySun Jul 08, 2012 7:29 am

So a about a week ago i noticed my male on eggs which didnt suprise me i had seen one of my females trying to get into the cave with him. But i went to victoria for 5 days came back and the eggs had turned to wrigglers, but that night i was watching my tank from the couch and noticed he was swimming back and forth from end to end of the tank to anouther cave i have in there. I checked it with the torch and he has eggs in this cave as well. He now spends about 30mins with the babies then swims to the log with the eggs and fans them for around 30min then so on and so forth.
Just wondering if anyone has come across this before??
Would it be a good idea to put the eggs in a tumbler? they seem to be healthy and have a nice orange colour to them.
Cheers for any advise

I'd leave it to him. otherwise he will never learn Evil or Very Mad

not to mention he will be fine with it, particually since the first batch have hatched. they will be fine without him from now

i have never heard of a male having 2 spawns at the same time in diff caves, i have had a male spawn with 2 females in one cave before but not in seperate caves , thats neat keep us posted on how both spawns turns out . i put all my eggs in a tumbler just so the male and get back to eating and be ready to spawn with another female sooner.
