| Mine ate a whole batch of eggs that were in a fry saver(why I don't use them anymore). They likely got eaten as they were probably not healthy eggs, seems like an awfully small batch to me. Mine lay 100+.

| alright cool. i mean this sucks but at least its not something uncommon... my spawns are about 50 count normally from this pair. so i dont know whats going on with this low count spawn. plus most the eggs looked white.. im use to yellow- almost orange colored eggs. | |

| White is infertile eggs so they most likely didn't get the job done properly. So I guess they ate the eggs to start again. Your lucky, iv spotted a male sitting at the mouth of his cave munching on a clutch of fertile eggs! | |

| well this is an old pair and im shocked they even ate them. but my younger pair is going to spawn soon. so im not out of new fry just yet.
but this young pair has been interesting. the male keeps chasing the female away. he sits in his cave facing out. dunno what hes doing but we will see. | |

| If he's facing out of the cave he's not ready. When he sits facing in with his tail sticking out, that's when she will get in his cave. They are fun fish to watch and very predictable if you know what behavioural signs to look out for | |

| thats why i put my eggs in a tumbler as soon as they spawn and that way they can`t eat the eggs and it lets the male get back to eating so he can spawn again. | |
